“Lord, you are my God, I will exalt you and praise your name, for
in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.” Isaiah 25:1
We are delighted to present our new pastoral team of Pastor Paul Weissenborn and Pastor Tanesia Belvin to fulfill the pastoral leadership for LCC. This position is a co-pastoral position, with both of them working part-time to fulfill the work needed of a full-time position. We invite you to learn more about them and stop in a service to meet them.
Pastor Paul Weissenborn
Paul is currently living in a period of transition to retirement as he assists LCC in a teaching role and revisits his prior career in regional environmental geology as a part-time consultant. Paul attended seminary at Columbia Biblical Seminary and School of Missions with a focus on missions and leadership. Previously, he has served churches in Michigan, California, and Utah in senior pastor, world missions, evangelism, discipleship, and teaching roles.
Paul’s personal mission and passion: “By teaching God’s Word and being personally present in people’s lives, my desire is to present the life and healing love of Jesus, especially to underreached, overlooked, broken, and lonely people so they might experience a transforming, eternal relationship with Him!”
Paul has been married to Vicki for 39 years. Vicki is a pediatric occupational therapist for the Wexford-Missaukee ISD. They have two young adult children, Matthew and Amy (Husband – Jake). They are excited to have become grandparents to beautiful 18-month-old Ava Grace (Amy and Jake’s daughter)!
Prior to becoming a pastor, Paul had a 20-year career in the geosciences including positions in environmental/groundwater management and consulting, gold exploration, petroleum exploration, and research. He attended South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and Beloit College for degrees in Geology & Environmental Geology.
Pastor Tanesia Belvin
Tanesia has been a loving wife of 26 years to Lamont Belvin Sr.; a retired US Marine of over 21 years. They are blessed with two children, a daughter named Lynnesia (20), and a son named Lamont Jr (17). After much prayer, the Holy Spirit led the Belvin family to retire to LeRoy in 2018 and were immediately led to LCC where they jumped right into heartfelt service and became members of the church in 2019.
In 2002, Tanesia answered the call to ministry and has served as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in one capacity or another ever since. God has gifted her in the areas of preaching, teaching, pulpit ministry, women’s ministry, youth and children’s ministry. In 2015, she earned an AA in Psychology with an emphasis in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. Currently, Tanesia is enrolled in North Park Theological Seminary, where she plans to pursue a Master of Divinity degree. With joy, Tanesia has been blessed to fill in on Sunday mornings as a part of the preaching team at LCC alongside Pastor Dave and Pastor Paul. She has jumped in without hesitation to serve others on the Christian Education Board, nursery, youth trips, J.O.Y. Club and Life Groups. She is “blessed to be a blessing!”
Tanesia’s passion: “The ministry of grace is a skill that I pray to be able to perfect daily. My prayer is, Lord, help me to see your creation, as you see them; to love them as you love them. In a world where anxiety consumes the lives of many, my hope is to share how Jesus delivered me when He called me to come to Him, where I found the true meaning of peace and rest.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
